			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Summer seems like a good time to want to gain some ground on your overall health. Nobody wants to be overweight and unhealthy while it’s hot. There is just something about the summer that makes your body want to be lighter and healthier. </p>
<p>Summer can be a good time to find fresher foods. Fruits and veggies will be in abundance all over the country. Having fresher food more available can be a good temptation.</p>
<p>A good place to help keep yourself motivated can be the local produce or farmers markets. Here you will get to meet your local farmers and check out the fresh produce that they are selling. Seeing all of this fresh food can possibly help to trigger your mind into wanting these things. So a weekly visit may be good therapy. Getting to know your local farmers also can be fun. You may find that they have great tips on preparing what they sell and find out that being healthier may not be that difficult. It may be a good deterrent as well to stay away from the fast food places. So sit down with someone you know or love and try to think of some other activities that can help you to be healthier.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Let&#8217;s face it; we are a society obsessed with convenience. It is all around us. We have drive thru&#8217;s for food, pharmacies, laundry and even weddings. But is the convenience really worth it? Does everything have to be so convenient?</p>
<p>Let’s say for this article, let&#8217;s assume everything we discuss is organic, that way I do not have to type it every time. What would be healthier, some bone soup (true bone soup, the bones simmer for 12 to 48 hours) with veggies and a little meat or some boxed enchiladas with some jarred hot sauce and chips. Well the answer is obvious, the soup of course. But why would the boxed meal, salsa and chips not be just as healthy. Just because it is organic does not mean it is OK, or something you can eat all the time. </p>
<p>Properly prepared foods like the soup can carry with them tons of health benefits. You have heard of the old adage chicken soup for the sick. Well the soup back in the day was chicken bone soup, with a little meat and veggies. It&#8217;s the bones that carry tons of nutrients.</p>
<p>So the next time you do not feel like cooking, consider exactly what this may do to our health. Check with your doctor also for some good suggestions to help make your life much healthier.</p>
